“At The Table”: I Trulli in the New York Times

I Trulli was featured in yesterday’s New York Times column called “At the Table,” which appeared in the Metropolitan section of the Sunday paper.

The article entitled “Talking Work or Escaping It,” gave a snapshot of the restaurant and noted that “Since 1994, I Trulli has stood fast on East 27th Street as a destination for the food of Apulia – the heel of the Italian boot – even as the neighborhood has evolved from nondescript mixed-use area into a hub for creative industries and trendy restaurants.” The description of the restaurant continued on to say that it is decorated with “rustic wood floors, white marble counters, a wood-burning oven, a double-sided fireplace and a backyard patio” and that the restaurant draws in a “mix of local office workers, residents and Italian tourists.”

The “Why they came” section featured lunchtime regulars Harriet and Anne, who discovered the restaurant when they moved to their offices into the building next door about a year ago and “fell in love with its food, service and ambience.”
